About me

I was born in Liverpool and grew up just outside London.
After studying German Language and Literature, I trained in acting at LAMDA (the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts). I've since also graduated in the Michael Chekhov Intensive Acting Technique at Berlin's MCIA.

I've lived in Berlin since 2004 and began working as a voice-over a year later. Since 2007, I’ve been one of Deutsche Welle TV’s main voices, recording everything from documentaries, to trailers, via live news’ summaries and business reports to the football highlights’ show. This wealth of experience has enabled me to hone my skills as an accurate and reliable reader who performs well under pressure. For the past 6 years, I’ve had the honour of being the continuity voice for the wonderful environment programme Global 3000, now Global Us.

As a freelance voice-over artist, I’m a popular choice for museum and gallery guides and frequently enjoy commissions from Linon, acoustiguide, Tonwelt and museum.de. I’ve voiced audio guides for dozens of state museums across Europe – from the Bodemuseum, Alte and Neue Nationalgalerien and the Pergamon in Berlin to London’s V&A and the Louvre-Lens in Paris. I also love working for small and niche museums – and recently recorded a highly enjoyable guide for the European Museum of Metal Roofers and Coppersmiths for museum.de, written by the wonderful Claudia Klein. My extensive experience means that I have an instinctive ear for the “feel” of an audio guide. I’ve also written several myself – including for the Giant’s Causeway in County Antrim, Northern Ireland (National Trust) and most recently for Fanad Lighthouse in Donegal.

In the commercial world, I’ve lent my voice to TV, radio and online spots for a range of brands and products from Capri Sun to Bosch, Lenor to Hewlett Packard – as well as numerous product explainers and company image films.

I regularly narrate documentaries for ARTE, ARD and ZDF and associated production companies. My love of storytelling and ability to empathise with protagonists makes for compelling results. I have solid timing and a commitment to the best possible product. I love working closely with journalists and authors to realise their ideas.

My acting skills and love of language have proved to be tremendously helpful in my work as a voice actor and director for educational publishers too. I regularly work for Cornelsen and other publishing houses across Europe. And those same skills also enjoy an airing whenever I do cartoon work – for productions like Lillifee and Mia and Me!

She’s always well prepared and implements directorial suggestions quickly and with precision...often contributing her own creative ideas.

even when we’re working under a lot of pressure, she STays cheerful and UPBEAT.”
